Our Coordinator is Jan Lukas and our Assistant Coordinator is Denice Rausch. We are staffed by Parishioners of Ascension who are concerned about the formation of our young people in the Catholic Faith.
We provide instruction in the teachings of the Catholic Church for children who are in grades kindergarten through 8 and their families who are registered in Ascension Parish, Chesterfield—and outreach to all children.
REGISTRATION IS HAPPENING NOW!!! For families already in the program ...additional $15 late fee assessed on registrations after August 15, 2010.
The 2010/2011 sessions begin September 12th and 13th, 2010. Registration fee is $50.00 per family which is not refundable and there is also a materials fee of $25.00 per child. Continual registrations are being accepted throughout the year. If registration occurs during the year, please de aware some sessions are full and extra work may be needed to get a student caught up. Sessions meet from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday; from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Sunday; or from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Special arrangements can be made for instruction of youngsters joining the church or needing special sacramental preparation.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., but we are not always available in the office to answer the door. On Mondays, there are classes until 6 pm. It would be advisable for visitors to call ahead (636)532-1136 so that someone will be available to greet them. Please contact us for your special catechetical needs and we will do our best to assist you.
Baptismal certificates for all of our students should be brought in as soon as possible—unless they are already on file with us or the youngster was baptized at Ascension Church.
