Our Coordinator is Jan Lukas and our Assistant Coordinator is JoAnn Lavrich. We are staffed by Parishioners of Ascension who are concerned about the formation of our young people in the Catholic Faith.
We provide instruction in the teachings of the Catholic Church for children who are in grades kindergarten through 8 and their families who are registered in Ascension Parish, Chesterfield—and outreach to all children.
The 2005/2006 sessions began September 11th and 12th, 2005, and will end May 21st and 22nd, 2006. Registration fee is $50.00 per family which is not refundable and there is also a materials fee of $25.00 per child. Continual registrations are being accepted although some sessions are full and extra work my be needed to get a student caught up. Sessions meet from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, or from 4:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Special arrangements can be made for instruction of youngsters joining the church or needing special sacramental preparation.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., but we are not always available in the office to answer the door. On Monsdays there are classes until 6, on Tuesdays ,until 5:45. It would be advisable for visitors to call ahead so that someone will be available to greet them. Please contact us for your special catechetical needs and we will do our best to assist you.
Baptismal certificates for all of our students should be brought in as soon as possible—unless they are already on file with us or the youngster was baptized at Ascension Church.
